hamburg interior

some more pictures from my weekend in hamburg. i liked this interior of a company!

after some really busy and active weeks i gave my brain some rest this weekend. started to become quite exhausted;)
here in norway fall has begun. at least it feels like it. cooler and a lot of rain. but it doesn`t matter..we have sunshine in our hearts:) cheesy;) haha
i wanted to cut those last tiles so badly today, but it`s raining again... am not that eager that i do it in the rain;) how is the weather in your region?

have a great week!

hamburg, germany

now i was really quiet the past two weeks. guess it was because of jobstart and a weekend in germany with two really good girlfriends that i hadn`t seen forever.

am exhausted everyday thanks to tons of information my brain is being fed with.
but i think it`s all good. nice colleagues and finally working with design again. i also enjoy seeing the fjord twice a day on my traintrip to the city:) might show you some pictures soon.

this weekend i am all alone with the little boy. my daughter is at her daddy`s (every other weekend) and my man is on a trip with his buddy:)
i am spoiling the little boy rotten, it`s sooo long ago since we were alone. love it.
last weekend i got on the plane to hamburg right after work and had a great weekend full of chatting, red wine, photography....it felt so good to have a girls weekend!

have a great weekend!

my new job

now the time has come. yesterday i said good bye to my old job and all the colleagues. it was bittersweet.
now i have the weekend and on monday i start in my new job  as a kitchen designer.

i like working with clients and the combination of designing and being a consultant for people is perfect for me. just recently i found out through a personality test, that i am good at selling things;)
haha...no worry here, i`m not gonna try to sell you anything.

it`s just so important to have a job that fits your personality. otherwise it`s hard to keep up the motivation.
lately i have been working quite independently in my old job and more and more efficiently. i knew everybody. but on monday that`s all gonna change again: i have to start over. new colleagues and a lot of training.

but i`m soo exited! i am looking extremely forward to starting there! one more change: i finally got to give back the uniform to my old job and get to wear my own clothes again. yes! i just looove to dress.

here some photos of the kitchens i will be selling. they are not too expensive and i think that is a good thing.

have a great sunny weekend!

wires and ugly equipment

just got back from a birthday-party at my father in laws. met my soon-to-be sister in law for the first time!
they are getting married in november.
tomorrow i start my last week at my old job and time is flying so fast again, it`s almost scary.
life is flying too fast. there are so many things to experience and see, a lifetime is just not enough...
well well, maybe i am headed for a midlife crisis :D haha

i was annoyed with the internet- and telephone-equipment in the livingroom and finally found a little shelf that allows airing.

wedding anniversary

today my husband and i are married one year! love it and like to think back to the day...it was very special and i will never forget it :)

designer tip no. 4

if you have a naked wall and you want to have a very special decoration, why not make a family-artpiece?
i suggest two possibilities:

1. bying a big canvas
2. bying for example four small canvases, if you are a family of four

choose than the colours that would compliment the area you want the piece hanging.
everybody in the family, no matter what age, gets to decorate one small canvas or you decorate the big canvas all together.

try to use different techniques, like using a sponge as a stamp, covering areas with tinfoil, colour and then taking the tinfoil of, using bits of old newspaper or pictures from magazines...

the options are basically unlimited. you might want to practice one time on a cardboard, to see how it goes.
if you have very small children, just let them paint and print with their hands. use paint that is safe to get in the mouth...
in the end it`s important to fixate.
if you choose the small canvases, you can put them together in a square or in a row on the wall.
you can have a distance in between or put them close together.

this is really a fun family project and might inspire the whole family. it will become a really nice memory and gives everybody a feeling of being a part of the family.
i recommend especially making this artwork for patchwork-families, such as mine:)

and: you get a really beautiful decoration on your wall, that nobody else has!

if you want to have a bigger artwork or one of you is extra gifted in arts, you can double the amount of canvases and this one person can decorate these and put them in between. or you can glue on a matching fabric, wallpaper or anything really. there are so many possibilities!

have really good fun with this!
